Abɔsoɔ (Twi for "pocket") is a core banking platform designed for Ghana's credit unions, whether you are moving from CuSoft or from paper books. It gives each credit union its own isolated, fully auditable ledger on a shared, low-cost platform.
It covers membership and KYC, share and savings accounts, fixed deposits with daily interest accrual, teller and cash management, lending from product setup through Loans Committee approval to repayment, delinquency and provisioning, and payroll deduction that reconciles to zero without a spreadsheet. AGM dividend, interest and rebate distributions are computed from members' average balances and explained line by line.
Every financial rule is enforced in the database itself, money is held as exact decimals (never floating point), and every sensitive change goes through maker-checker approval. Regulatory reporting (PEARLS, CUA returns and BoG prudential returns) and the payments and remittance layer are being rolled out next.
